Mare Suites

The rooms have been redone with really high-quality materials, and the hotel itself feels pleasant. Staff were polite, too. Still, management should have more say in making guests feel welcome. We had an unpleasant start because the first room we were given was bad. They moved us to a better one the following day and sorted that out, but those early problems left a bad impression.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the location is lovely. The poor management and very weak breakfast were disappointing, though. The beach is muddy rather than sandy, so swimming from it isn't much fun. It's a bit better than the pier, but the water still isn't very clean. Would I return? Maybe for the place to stay, yes. For the meals, drinks, and sea, no.

For the price, it's a decent option. The rooms have plenty of space and the kitchen is good, and I liked the location. Staff numbers seem too low and the seabed isn't great, though swimming off the pier avoids that problem.

The work vehicles were what stuck with me: dust, fumes, noise, and the hassle of parking. With that project, the area turned into a new island, and Tilkicik village feels dead now.
