Mirart Hotel Boutique & SPA Yalova

The hotel is excellent in nearly every way, but the air conditioning policy is a problem. Once winter starts, they shut off the cooling and turn on the heaters, even when it’s over 20 degrees. I pay the same room rate in winter and summer, so I think guests should be able to choose what they need for that price. They don’t lower the rate after switching off the air conditioning.

We spent our holiday here because the location was convenient, near both the city center and the waterfront, and the staff were helpful. The spa was disappointing: the Jacuzzi was out of service, the steam room wasn’t working, and only one massager worked. Breakfast was very limited, with little choice and hardly any fruit or vegetables. You also have to pay separately for everything.

We stayed in a family suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is central, within easy walking distance of several shopping areas and the waterfront, and the staff were friendly and spoke English well. We really enjoyed our stay. Parking took some getting used to. The lot is offsite, and getting the car there meant navigating a one-lane alley with traffic going both ways. The staff were very helpful with that. I wasn’t comfortable leaving our key with reception or the parking attendant, though nothing happened to the rental car.

The one part I wasn’t keen on was breakfast. It’s menu-based rather than a buffet, and the restaurant often plays hip-hop in the morning, which I find absurd. The evening menu and kitchen, on the other hand, were good. Otherwise, this is probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Yalova by most measures. The building is well made and generally quiet, apart from the dawn call to prayer from the neighboring mosque. The location is exceptional, the interior has lots of solid wood, and everything was clean. Housekeeping was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
