Pastoral Vadi

I stayed in one of the bungalows and really enjoyed the food and relaxed atmosphere. It was also an easy place to meet other guests and volunteers. The one downside was the heat inside the bungalow when the sun was out.

I arrived with a gluten allergy and was told they couldn’t accommodate me, so I had to pack my tent and leave less than two hours later. I wasn’t asking them to cook special meals or feed me for free. I said I could avoid the gluten foods and just needed some care to prevent contamination in food that was naturally gluten-free. I even had rice with me that I could cook myself. A little flexibility would have made a solution possible, but the man I spoke to was rude and said they had hundreds of people to accommodate. I saw no more than 15 people around, including workers and volunteers. He said they only handle special requests for large groups who pay for it. I was only meant to stay a couple of days, and the camp wasn’t busy. He basically told me to leave, and I was left with my bags in the middle of nowhere in 35-degree heat. At least they didn’t charge me for the salad I’d had for lunch. I wasn’t furious, just being realistic. I tried to speak gently with you and your staff. I’ve traveled the world my whole life, so I know how to look after myself. Contamination won’t kill me, but it’s important to avoid it. After you refused, I mentioned the knife to explain what contamination means. I hope you practice what you say you teach.

The staff were friendly, but the place was dirty, run down, and badly managed. It was overpriced for what you got and looked nothing like the photos. I expected a beautiful, eco-friendly organic yoga space and farm, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

What a peaceful, beautiful setting. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was super tasty.
