The owner was a sweet older man who smiled at everyone, and the staff were helpful whenever we needed something. Breakfast was decent, with an average amount of choice. The beach is public rather than the hotel's own, and although they have their own loungers, there weren't enough at first. They brought us more when we asked. I also didn't understand why we were expected to take our own room rubbish out. The room smelled freshly cleaned when we arrived, but it didn't actually feel clean, more like air freshener had been sprayed. I couldn't relax in bed because I didn't know whether the sheets had been changed or the towels were clean. The shower water was muddy brown, especially when it was hot.

We stayed three nights and four days, and the place lived up to what we hoped for. It made for a really enjoyable holiday. The pool was much bigger than it looked in the photo and very clean, if a little over-chlorinated. I'd take that over a dirty pool. There were plenty of loungers, and we had no trouble finding one. Breakfast was included, with a buffet, unlimited tea through the day, lots of variety, and everything tasted good. Each day there were three different hot dishes, such as sausage, sigara böreği, and menemen. We ate lunch at the hotel bar too, where prices seemed reasonable. The Margherita pizza was 290 TL and delicious, definitely worth trying. A sausage platter was 200 TL, beer 200 TL, and a Churchill 100 TL, just so you have an idea of current prices. The beach is close, just across the road in about two minutes, and the hotel has its own loungers there. The sea was clean and calm when we went. Room cleaning is optional, but they quickly brought us clean towels when we asked. Our room was adequate, and each room has a balcony. The bathroom has neither a shower cabin nor a bathtub, but that didn't bother us. It's outside the center, though there are plenty of ways to get there depending on your budget: minibuses, taxis, or renting a motorbike or ATV in town. We rented an electric motorbike for 1k a day. It added to that island holiday feeling, and we recommend it. The ride takes about 20 minutes at an easy pace, or 8-10 by minibus or taxi. I had been torn between staying here and paying double in the center, and I'm glad we picked this place. It made much more sense to me.

The breakfast was the best part, fantastic and with lots of choice. The rooms felt old and the beds were hard, but the cold shower was the worst. To get to the other end of the island, you have to take a minibus, which costs 40 TL.

The owners and staff were attentive and polite, and the sea just outside was lovely. For Avşa, I thought this hotel offered good value. The rooms were spotless, the shampoo and other bathroom items were good quality, and breakfast was nice. I'd like to stay again. I have two suggestions: the bathroom has no shower cabin, so the toilet gets wet when you shower. It would be great if they fixed that. The music near the pool cafe could also be turned down a little.
