Bahar Aqua Resort Otel

We felt comfortable and valued throughout our holiday, and would gladly consider returning. The food was tasty and there was plenty of variety. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always trying to help, and the hotel was clean with a lovely atmosphere. We also really liked Şebnem. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

The food hygiene was appalling. We were served the same things, pasta and pastries, almost every day with no variety. Plates and tablecloths were filthy, as was the serving setup. My wife felt nauseous and didn’t want to enter the dining room again. They had a water dispenser in the restaurant, but told us its water shouldn’t be drunk. When we asked why it was there, nobody explained. That felt hugely disrespectful to guests. From check-in, receptionist Ms. Esma treated us rudely and disrespectfully. The sheets had yellow and blood stains, and when we reported it, the response was dismissive and unprofessional: “It might have been an oversight.” The towels were all torn, and staff were indifferent and rude, with no regard for guest satisfaction. The hotel had no cleanliness or service quality at all, and the atmosphere felt more like a refugee camp than a holiday resort. Our stay at Avşa Bahar Hotel was an absolute disgrace, not a holiday. I absolutely don’t recommend it to anyone, so they don’t go through the same thing.

The back pool was very nice, and the slides were good too. But at the first pool there was a lot of hair and dirt. A girl was standing in front of the slide later, and I think she’d used it and her nose burst. It was really scary, the pool was covered in blood, and we had to get out. We came to Bahar Hotel as a family and were greeted with smiles. The room we were given was quite nice, though the refrigerators were very empty. The rooms themselves looked nice, but hygiene and cleanliness were poor. Dinner was a bit bad, and when we had breakfast on our second day the selection was poor. After we went out, those things were nice. That’s why I give Bahar Hotel one point.

The food was awful, there wasn’t much of it, and it had no taste or salt. They didn’t even know what the drinks they were offering were, so we went hungry. The rooms were filthy, the sheets and towels torn, and they didn’t bring a duvet until we asked. The refrigerator was broken too. I complained for days and they didn’t care. The whole place felt like a joke. We came for four nights and five days and regretted it. On the first day both electricity and water went out, and nothing was done to fix it. The water cuts kept happening every day. I got tired of complaining, while they kept saying there was nothing they could do. When we told them the water was off, they blamed an island-wide shortage because everyone showered at once. This so-called “hotel” didn’t even have water for a proper shower. They suggested waiting 30 minutes. When we asked to change rooms, they offered another room just temporarily to shower, but didn’t know if it had running water. The reception staff couldn’t explain anything or provide proper information. Customer satisfaction clearly didn’t matter to them. I can’t understand what kind of place this is. It’s not a hotel or a guesthouse, and I’d never recommend it.
