Park Dedeman Trabzon

There was maintenance work happening in some rooms, with tool noise and walls being hammered. When we booked through the travel app “Expedia,” we expected a sea-view room of 301 sqft with a sofa and table. The room we were first given was much smaller and didn’t have what the photos showed. After we complained, they moved us to a room matching the photos from my earlier booking, but it had no sea view. I’d say to be careful when booking this hotel.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was cleaned well, and breakfast was nice. The hotel looks modern and is about 15 minutes by car from the center. We had a corner ocean-view room on level 4 in November, but it was too hot inside, around 26 degrees, and the windows got extremely hot. The AC couldn’t cool the room because its settings are fixed by season. They advised us to open a window, which wasn’t a great solution and let in a lot of noise from the busy road. The sink tap wasn’t working properly either. It was clogged with calcium, so the water came out with low pressure and was awkward to use. We went to the service desk about the heat, but communicating in English wasn’t easy.

The hotel is beautiful, in a wonderful location, and the rooms are huge. Our connecting room with the kids gave them so much space that they were amazed. Breakfast was the one issue for us, with few options and mostly cheese.

I really liked the hotel and would rate it 5 out of 5. The sea views made our stay special, and the night shift staff were especially friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay and cleanliness was generally good. When I first entered, I found a few things in the fridge from the previous guest, but the issue was dealt with quickly. There’s a nice café next door with great coffee, and parking was easy to find.
