Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of fruit, yogurt, eggs and fish, and we enjoyed several excellent dinners there too. The rum punches were great, especially the Golden Surpise made with home-grown ginger. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were three adults in a cabana by the pool and loved the Kariwak. The pool was a good size and cleaned daily, though most loungers need repair or replacing. The older aluminum ones were the best. Even with the airport nearby, there was very little noise. The birds were wonderful, with hummingbird feeders and lots of local visitors. The Rufous Vented Chacualacas came by every morning. My wife did yoga most days, and the ajoupa structures are lovely. The Garden Rooms look nice from outside, and there's a great jacuzzi out back. We took a daily taxi to Pigeon Point with Frank, a great driver, and had a fantastic nature tour recommended by Peter Cox. Store Bay, the nearest beach, is walkable, with food stalls, a bar, safe swimming and chairs for rent.

Gilly's yoga class was amazing, and breakfast was such a good start to each day: cocoa tea, fresh fruit, baked bread and a choice of mains. The hummingbirds flitting around the trees and shrubs were lovely to watch, and the pool was delightful. I had a really lovely stay. The rooms don't have TVs, which didn't bother me, though it would've been helpful for other guests to know ahead of time.

There is Wi-Fi, but this is the kind of place I'd choose to get away from the daily rush. The peaceful surroundings and morning hummingbirds by the breakfast table feel almost unreal, like they're there on cue. If quiet and a restful stay are what you're after, I highly recommend it.

The food was tasty and simply put together. We had the fish, and the iced tea is worth trying; the slice of spice cake was nice too. Dinner had a welcoming atmosphere, and the menu felt approachable. The grounds are beautiful, with an island feel, and the rooms mix rustic touches with more familiar hotel fittings. It feels like a lovely oasis in the middle of a busy tourist area. My one complaint is the cost. The portions felt small for the price, and I came away feeling I was paying for the ambience and the establishment's brand.

Breakfast is the standout, with fresh fruit, homemade bread and local juices. The daily meals are freshly made too, using local ingredients in a creative, healthy way. It’s a peaceful garden setting, and I left feeling refreshed.
