Alicia's Palace

The hallways were often dark, the pillows were painfully uncomfortable, and the sink tap only ran on a push timer, which made it frustrating to use. One evening the water stopped for hours, so I couldn't shower until almost midnight. Breakfast was poor too: the food was often cold, and requests got eye rolls. Apart from one kind employee, the service came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. I spent 10 days there. For the first three, there was no internet and the TV didn't work. I reported both several times, but it took a while to get a replacement internet box, and that connection was unreliable. For the price and the state of things, I can't recommend staying here as it is. There may be potential, but maintenance and customer service need a lot of work. I wouldn't return.

The restaurant on site was a highlight, with fresh food and really good service, especially Marriska at breakfast. Everyone was nice and accommodating, and Alicia's Palace felt like great value. I'd stay here again.

The view was amazing, though staffing quality was poor. There's a pool and bar on the lower level, but using them costs extra, and it seemed like they were short-staffed.

The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. In the kitchen, though, the staff were disrespectful and acted like I was bothering them or begging. It was my first time there, and it'll definitely be my last.
