Green incense Homestay

The views made this stay memorable: tea fields and clouds drifting by, with lovely sunrises and sunsets. It’s a simple homestay, and the beds are on the hard side, but the host was kind and helpful. The trailhead for Mist Trail is right beside the place, with connections to Tea Trail and Cloud trail. Alishan National Park is about a 40-minute drive away; we found it congested and too busy. This was our best stay in Taiwan so far. 👍😊

They made getting around easy. We arranged pickup and drop-off through Whataspp, including a ride from Fenqihu when we arrived by train and help after taking the bus to Alishan. The family looked after us with hot drinks and a simple cooked breakfast, and the room was simple too. Green Incease was a great base for seeing the area, especially Alishan. The only downside for me was that the beds were a little hard.

From the homestay, you can step straight onto a four-hour loop walk around the area, and the views are stunning from every direction. The hosts really made the stay, though. They met us at the bus stop on our way up to Alishan to take our bags, then brought the bags to us again the next day. Breakfast was wonderful too. An incredible stop on our way back from Alishan. Our room was huge, very clean, and had a great view. Breakfast was delicious, and they even managed a vegan option for our friend. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and they fit us in at the last minute after our other hotel cancelled because of the weather. Such a wonderful homestay!
