Hot Spring Hill B&B

We could walk to Sichongxi Hot Spring Park, which is nearby, and the room had hot spring water. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was plain congee and side dishes, and the thick, unusual black soybean milk is worth trying. The hostess mentioned that guests staying in the park could redeem a hot spring season souvenir at the service center. She also suggested we visit Gaoshi Fo. The soundproofing wasn’t great, but we’re not very bothered by noise, so it was fine for us.

We were welcomed at the restaurant by the owner, who chatted with us and made us feel at home. The staff were friendly too. I’d gathered from the reviews that this was a family-run place. The room had a comfortable bed and sodium bicarbonate spring water you could soak in directly, which was so relaxing. There wasn’t a refrigerator in the room, but there was a shared one outside, and Wi-Fi worked in all the rooms. The high ceiling meant sound carried, yet I still slept comfortably. Toiletries in the bathroom were a nice surprise. Breakfast was simple, with toast, congee, side dishes, and sliced local mango. We checked in on June 15th.

Check-in was January 4, 2014. The room felt a little dated, but it was very clean and comfortable, clearly well cared for. Everyone was kind, like close neighbors, and the staff treated older guests especially warmly. Highly recommended for income information.

There’s parking at the guesthouse, and the hot spring area is an easy walk of around 600-700 meters away.
