We stayed in a family room a year ago, and the central AC kept blowing cigarette smoke into it. It also switched itself off in the middle of a summer night. When we called for help, they told us not to use the air conditioning, even though we had a two-year-old with us. Guests are going to suffer here. I can't recommend it.

The location is the main plus, under a 10-minute walk from chiayi train station. The mattress was okay and the bath had good water pressure, but all the towels, hand, bath, and floor, need replacing. They hold firmly to the 4pm check-in even with an empty lobby, and wouldn't let us in 30 minutes early. Check-out is 11am, and they start charging if you're more than 15 minutes late.

Basic, but clean. Fine for a night. The staff weren't very friendly, and there was no bedside lamp or extra pillow or blanket.

We booked a Japanese-style Family room, and our child had lots of cute toys to play with. The service and room really impressed us. I'd book here again next time I'm in Chiayi.

My room was spacious and comfortable for the booking, and the location was good. The staff were friendly, everything was as expected, and I had no problem with the room itself. One extra pillow costs 100twd, though. Noise can carry from inconsiderate neighbours, so the soundproofing could be better.
