The room was big and spacious, the bed comfortable, and the pillows were fine. Breakfast was okay, and the location was acceptable, with mini markets nearby. It’s close to the metro and a bit far from downtown Taipei, but still manageable. Staff at check-in couldn’t speak much English, though they tried and we got by. Good value for money and a great stay.

The room had a nice separation between the spacious bedroom and bathroom, and we really enjoyed the stay. The bed was comfortable, and the jacuzzi felt cozy with strong jets. Breakfast delivered to our room was decent, especially since the buffet was temporarily suspended during Taiwan’s level 3 semi-lockdown. We’d love to return if we can. A good place for couples.

We had checked with reception several times in the weeks before our booking and were told we could check in early, around 3-4pm. But unforeseen circumstances meant we didn’t arrive until just after 7pm. I expected we could go straight to our room, but was told the previous guests had only checked out half an hour earlier and we’d need to wait 20 minutes while it was cleaned. What made this much worse was the receptionist’s attitude when I asked about the check-in mix-up. If she’d simply owned the service mistake, I wouldn’t be writing this. Her refusal to take responsibility for an obvious customer service blunder was very disappointing. Consider other options before booking this motel.

The bathroom is impressive, and I really like the standard Chinese breakfast here. It’s great quality compared with places that offer lots of breakfast choices but do them poorly. There are a few drawbacks: you need fairly good Chinese, since the English is limited, and they usually require daytime checkout because they rent rooms for short stays. My coworker spoke with them, though, and it seems that requirement only applies on weekends. There’s no closet or gym, which I’m fine with. The garage is a cool extra, large enough for one car, though I didn’t have one to park. The new airport train nearby makes it very convenient, and there’s a small park next door where you can use YouBike. One of my favorite places to stay, even though it’s quite different from a business hotel.
