The hot pot dinner was very good, but you need to book ahead and choose a soup base. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and worked well. There are pleasant walking trails nearby, and the resort has a homey feel with decor that's very nice and photogenic.

Getting to the property involves a steep climb, and buses around here are infrequent, as is typical for this area. Having your own vehicle would help with those small inconveniences. We loved our two nights here as a peaceful break from the city and from the busy pace of our Taiwan trip. Instead of traffic, heat between concrete buildings, smog, and weaving around scooters on narrow streets, we had birdsong in the morning, frogs at night, cool mountain air and breezes, and fog drifting through. The slower countryside rhythm was a welcome change. We highly recommend the B&B and would come back on another Alishan trip.

The sunrise was lovely, and the service made the stay special. They drove us to a restaurant for dinner and let us know where to see fireflies, which was a fun surprise. If you want dinner at the guesthouse, contact them ahead to reserve. We saw the hot pot being served and it looked great, so we'll try it next time.

We had a really nice night here, and I'd happily come back. The setting, with flowers all around, was peaceful and relaxing. The owner was friendly and the staff treated us wonderfully. Breakfast was nice too. They offer hotpot for dinner, and the portions are huge, so a mother and child could easily share one.
