This place feels incredibly luxurious, straight up! Early this morning, the adorable E-cat "Black Rice" rubbed against me. Dapo Pond, a must-see in Chishang, is very close by. On Saturday nights, there's a fun little night market right next door, and it closes promptly at 9 pm 😆. It would be perfect to rent the whole building with friends or family.

Those three days and two nights felt like a real chance to slow down. We rarely get to travel as a family of four, and this place gave us a home away from home, with no breakfast schedule or restaurant in sight. We could just wander at our own pace and enjoy the freedom.

The place was clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the owner was lovely. There’s a cute black cat around, too. For getting about, we found a convenience store, PX Mart, restaurants, Chishang Night Market, and Dapo Pond all close by, plus several bicycles available.

The owner was warm and helpful, sharing plenty of useful tips and offering to arrange things for us. I didn’t feel I had to worry about being overcharged. The price was remarkably good, and I’d happily come back for another nature focused or slower trip. It was my first visit to Chishang in Taitung. The B&B felt comfortable and homey, with a little private garden that looked lovely under the string lights at night. Chishang Station was about a 10 minute walk away, and there was a 24 hour Family Mart across the street, along with lots of well rated places to eat. Brown Avenue and Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree were nearby, and Dapo Lake was a nice place to cycle around.
