Papago International Resort

We came in the low season, so we couldn't try the restaurants, but breakfast was great, the best I've had in Taiwan. The hotel itself was good value for money, and the location made it easy to reach different trails on foot and restaurants by a short drive. The children's play areas and gym were good, and all the facilities were top notch. Staff were helpful and around whenever we needed them. If you can afford it, stay here.

The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the whole place felt a bit like Hawaii. It made me feel close to nature and helped all my stress disappear. The ride from Taipei is very long, but I was so excited we finally booked this resort. Our room was spacious and clean, with welcome snacks, and the staff were smiling and accommodating. The amenities were great, especially the pool. Magnificent! I'll definitely tell friends about it and hope to come back.

I arrived without a reservation, and the front desk clerk found me the best discounted room available, nearly $2000 less than the app price. I missed dinner, but breakfast was wonderful. I tried less than a third of the dishes and was already full. Next time I'll walk around a couple of times first 😊.

The two-bedroom villa was nice, especially the large private hot spring in the bathroom. The grounds are quite big, but the weather meant we didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on it. This feels like a decent, middle-of-the-road resort without many special extras. I also thought the breakfast selection and quality could be better. It left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, like having something was better than having nothing.
