There are plenty of places to eat nearby, plus a large 7/11 where you can sit down for coffee or breakfast if you'd rather skip the local breakfast spots. The train station is within walking distance, and that's where the bike rentals are. The guesthouse is also close to Chishang's other amenities. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and felt quite luxurious. I especially liked the roomy shower, big beds, little desk, and balcony looking over the rice paddies. At night some dogs, possibly strays, barked, so bring earplugs if that might bother you. The owner is lovely and very friendly. Google Translate worked well for us, though international visitors shouldn't count on fluent English or English signs around the place. I didn't find that necessary, but wanted to mention it. Be sure to arrive at the stated check-in time, since the lady isn't always on site. I was so happy and grateful I chose to stay here. I totally recommend it for a visit to Chishang.

Her home is quiet and very clean, and the location is great. It's close to the train station, 7-11, nice restaurants, an art gallery, a bookstore, bike rentals, and the lake. The host is a lovely, warm, helpful person who made me feel at home. Highly recommend!

Such a comfortable place to stay, and very clean too. The decor feels warm and welcoming, the room is spacious, and the hot shower stays reliably warm! It's in a really convenient spot, within walking distance of 711 and Dapo Pond, and you can rent a bicycle right next door. A great guesthouse for a stay in Chishang!

The location is handy for restaurants and attractions, about an 8-minute walk from the town center. The landlady was really kind and let me leave my bags before check-in and again after check-out the next day. That was so heartwarming 😍 I stayed in the Morning Light Room upstairs on the second floor. It has a big balcony facing the street and a huge double bed. The mattress was a little firm, but so comfortable I nearly didn't want to get up. The decor is minimalist, with thoughtful touches everywhere, from the wall art and chandelier to the little Japanese-style corner room and the bathroom tiles. Everything was spotless and comfortable. My only gripe was that the shower and toilet weren't in separate areas.
