The comfortable bed, good soundproofing, quiet neighborhood, and nice surroundings were some of the room's better points. The hairdryer was also very powerful. But there are quite a few things to improve, especially for the higher Lunar New Year price. The place felt bright during the day and very dark at night. It was all open space, and the shower had no light, so at night you had to wash in the dark. With no shower door, water splashed all over the area outside it. There were no chairs, and getting ready was awkward: the sink mirror wasn't convenient for makeup, while the mirror by the bathtub had the TV behind it, so I had to sit on the uneven floor beside the tub. There was no drinking water in the room, so we had to go to the first-floor common area, even though there was bottled water in the fridge and coffee packets on the island. We stayed in a glass room on the fifth floor. When we arrived at 3 PM, an older woman said she couldn't find anyone and was tidying up herself, then led us in. It was the first time a housekeeper had come into the room with us 😂. She showed us the curtains, the ceiling curtain, the bathtub, and its drain. One side of the ceiling curtain was broken and couldn't be opened. She said the tub water was temperature-controlled, and I believed her. The next day, I checked it by hand, since my hands can take a lot of heat, then put my feet in. They got scalded, red, and stinging. Looking closely at the switch, I saw it was adjustable, but only had three cold-water flow settings and one hot-water setting, no temperature control. Guess I was blind! I understand that some cleaning gets missed when just one person is cleaning the hotel, but there were water stains, a dirty toilet, dust on the window frames, grime on the elevator walls, and mold on the mirrors and in the shower corners.
