Gold Sandy Beach Hotel

The room was compact but had what we needed: a mini fridge, TV, strong air conditioning, and a deep soaking tub. The balcony was a nice spot to sit and look out at the ocean, and the design even let us see the beach from the toilet. The hotel had a distinctly Japanese feel, with guests asked to take off their shoes and change into indoor slippers. Our stay was quiet and relaxing, and I’d recommend the hotel. The receptionist wasn’t always around when we needed help, but Google Maps came to the rescue.

Kenting has become our new favorite place in Taiwan, and this hotel is now our favorite there too! The property is lovely and right by the ocean. Kathy, the owner, was so kind and accommodating. She replied to us on Line and helped us extend our stay.

The location is hard to beat: one block from the beach and one block from a great night market that runs every night. The rooms are small, but clean and nicely designed. There’s a huge smart TV with Netflix, so you can catch up on shows. The area can get powerful winds, and a slightly open balcony door may whistle loudly. We also found small ants in the room, so keep food tightly sealed.

This was a clean, pleasant little homestay with an ocean view, a short distance from busy, noisy Kenting Main Street. It seemed recently renovated, and the staff were very friendly. We hadn’t realized there was construction right next door. To make up for the inconvenience, they offered us free breakfast and beer in the minibar, which was a nice gesture. We’d definitely come back when we’re in Kenting again. Thanks for a lovely stay.
