Sky Grass Homestay

I stayed here in 2019 and again in 2024. The rooms were very nice on the first visit, but the homestay has gone downhill since then. There was black mold in the rooms and bathrooms, dirty drapes, and heavy wear on the appliances, beds, and furniture. It felt like the owners hadn’t invested in the place at all. I’d avoid it for a better stay in Kenting.

Bring your own toiletries. We were on the third floor, facing the ocean, and had amazing ocean and beach views from both the window and balcony. The building is in a nice part of Nanwan, on a semi-steep hill farther from the main strip of shops. It was quiet at night, and the beach was still a short walk away.

10/2024: The view was pretty, and with a renovation this place could be great 😊 But the rooms had a lot of mold and were very dirty, with ants around too. The bathroom was really disgusting. I can’t recommend this place as it is.

I spent four days and three nights in a deluxe quadruple room, and it was good value for the price. The balcony had a stunning sea view 👀, and there was a huge swimming pool 🏊‍♀️, though I was too scared to swim. They even provided barbecue equipment. Some things weren’t brand new and had a bit of rust, but that was acceptable for what we paid. Small ants showed up in the room, and the owner quickly helped deal with them. He lives right across from the guesthouse and is always there to help. The housekeeping lady was very nice too. It’s right next to Nanwan, great for people who like swimming. There are lovely sea view rooms on the second floor, and two adorable guesthouse cats 👌😍
