We had two adults and one child, and I booked what I understood to be the deluxe quad room because the online photos showed a bathtub. The listed prices were NT$2970 for the superior quad room and NT$3330 for the deluxe one. When we arrived, the room looked like the superior quad in the pictures. I asked the housekeeper about it and got a helpful reply that the photos were for reference only. I still wondered whether the word “deluxe” was worth the extra NT$360, especially since my daughter wanted a bathtub and the deluxe room was supposed to have one. I booked late, so I may be remembering the price difference imperfectly. Breakfast wasn’t included, which I already expected. The location is remote, more than I’d anticipated. It’s very dark outside at night with no streetlights, so bring a flashlight, and it’s easy to drive past the place. Nan Nan Xi Yu. Mu Ri is newer and easier to spot by the roadside. Kenting isn’t the only busy place now, all of Hengchun Township seems overrun. Even Hongchaikeng has weekend prices this high. Sort out dinner, snacks and drinks before you check in, or you’ll be stuck. Best wishes to all the hotels in Taiwan! I often work abroad, and I believe Taiwanese people’s money comes easily. I’ll take it as a lesson. Taiwan’s current generals are worth three stars at most, and that’s generous. Congratulations on your stay on October 11, 2025!

There are two buildings, A and B, and renting one for a group gives you a huge living room, big enough to play tag in. I loved that. The rooms and bathrooms are more ordinary by comparison, but the price is very good for what you get. Outside, there’s a pool, lawn, deer and plenty of parking.

We booked four days ahead, but on check-in day found out without warning that the whole building had been given to another group. We had to call to confirm what was happening. The guesthouse manager seemed completely unaware and didn’t appear interested in sorting it out. They kept saying they’d been notified, but had no information about us. It seems they removed all the individual guests to make the whole-building booking, then sent us to another guesthouse without telling us. During Chinese New Year, we couldn’t find anywhere else of the same standard.

I don’t think the price is cheap, and there wasn’t even breakfast or bottled water included. That feels a bit outrageous.

The view from the room was stunning. Huge windows brought in lots of sunshine, and from the balcony we could see hills and open meadows. It was so relaxing. The property has two buildings, and a big group can book both. There’s a meadow, trees and a barbecue area in the courtyard. The manager said there were no other guests within 2 kilometers, so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about disturbing anyone. 😇 There was a self-service drink bar and popcorn in the common area, plus high-end sound equipment and a modern karaoke system with the latest Korean songs. Since the whole building is private and there are no nearby homes, we could sing and dance freely. There’s also an electric mahjong table, so you hardly need to leave. 😂 Such a fun stay. If you’re tired of ocean views in Kenting, this quiet mountain-view B&B is a lovely way to enjoy nature together. 👍🏻
