Hermes Hotel

We spent one night here. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything was good.

I'm still in quarantine, but so far the hotel has been great. The food is good and varied, the room is big, and it has both AC and a fan, which helps with the heat outside. The bed feels a bit hard by European standards, though that's normal in Asia. Service has been great too, and they reply to messages quickly. The bad reviews seem mostly to be about mosquitoes. I saw one, but it was outside the hotel.

The hotel facilities are outdated and poorly designed, and there doesn't seem to be much care put into fixing them. I got around 30 mosquito bites. I had to spend a little more than expected because of quarantine, though this was still a cheaper option. The staff were really kind and helpful, most of them exceeded my expectations, and I felt they deserved better.

Christina and the staff treated us like old friends and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to feel at home. They were extremely friendly and quick to respond. The rooms were clean, elegant, and comfortable. We loved our stay at Hotel Hermes in Hsinchu, and will definitely return the next time we're in Hsinchu.
