Lakeshore Hotel

The children's play area was really large. Our room was neat and very clean, and housekeeping were excellent and friendly with guests.

The room smelled strongly of mould and dust, and the hotel itself had an unpleasant smell like dust and sweat. The air felt stale. At the play area, a staff member rudely told me off for playing on the equipment with my child. Check-in was unfriendly too. Nobody was at the entrance to greet us or valet the car, and staff did little to explain the hotel or its facilities or make us feel welcome. The international standard is VERY low. They also don’t give hotel guests a discount at the restaurant, which is open to the public. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to international guests. Look elsewhere.

A man shouted at and pushed my 4-year-old son in the playroom, claiming my son had pushed his older child while they were jumping on the trampoline. I confronted him as soon as I saw it, but he kept yelling and at one point shoved me aside so he could focus on my son again. Several staff were nearby, but NONE came to help. It went on until a manager arrived several minutes later. We were taken away from the playground and questioned. We asked them to check the video and call the police so we could press charges for the assault. They said they needed several hours to get the footage and review it before calling police. They never contacted us, and the police were never called. When we followed up, they said the footage had no audio and only showed my son “made a pushing gesture.” They didn’t comp anything, and we never received an apology. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially foreigners.

The rooms were spacious, but absolutely filthy. Staff were impolite, and the open areas felt ominous. A horrendous stay, I wouldn’t recommend it.
