Being able to walk from the train station is the main plus, and the staff were friendly. The AC worked, there was hot water, and breakfast came with the stay. But the building feels very old and smells of mildew and cigarettes. Our room was dirty, and the old bed was lumpy. The exposed wiring looked frightening, with little safety for children and barely enough for adults. They also make you leave your key at the front desk every time you go out. For the price, this felt more like a hostel than a hotel, with no amenities. I’d call it closer to 2.2 stars than three, and way overpriced.

The new AC was impressively cold, and the front desk could understand English. The location is fairly close to the station, but I still wouldn’t recommend staying here. I had requested a non-smoking room, yet mine smelled of smoke. I could hear the neighbors talking through the night because the soundproofing was so poor. The tables were dusty, and the shower leaked.

The included breakfast was nice, and the room was really spacious. With the friendly staff and a spot close to the main station, I couldn’t find fault with it for the price. I’d stay here again.

The room was filthy. I watched them clean it, and they didn’t use a broom or vacuum, so the poor hygiene wasn’t a surprise. Staff were okay and very responsive when we asked for things; they tried to speak English. But my credit card was charged early on the morning of check-in, even though check-in wasn’t until 5 pm. Agoda had said payment was due at the desk, and we panicked, thinking the card had been hacked. That felt like a huge violation. We also asked to extend our stay, but they raised the price without giving a reason.

The room was roomy and the location was perfect. The breakfast was very simple, but that was fine. One morning the receptionist helped me order a taxi. Some staff spoke only limited English, while others spoke it very well, and the receptionist was friendly.
