The rooms feel a little bare, and having to change into room slippers on level 1 before going upstairs was inconvenient. The sea view from the 5th and 6th floor rooms is very good.

The owner was warm and fun to talk with, and I enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfast. The room was clean and the location was great.

Waking up to the sea view was lovely, and the beach is super close. The owner is really nice and friendly. Breakfast was just average, but I'd still highly recommend the place.

We went out to the balcony early in the morning and watched the sun rise over the Pacific Ocean. The waves and sea breeze felt incredibly relaxing. From our fifth-floor room, the view of the sea through the window was stunning as soon as we walked in. The room itself was spacious and very clean. There were chairs and a table on the balcony, but they were rusted from the wind, sand, and sea salt, so we didn't sit there and only stood to look at the view. The guesthouse is close to Dongdamen Night Market and the beach, and it has an elevator. Because of the nearby beach and concerns about wind, sand, and dampness, guests have to change into indoor slippers before going upstairs. We had a small dispute when booking through BO, but it was sorted out afterward. Breakfast was good, although the choices were limited and we only had a little. If I visit Hualien again, I hope I can stay here.
