Amicasa Guesthouse

I originally booked Dandelion Guesthouse and paid the deposit within the required time, then notified them. The assistant told me no room had been reserved, but offered to move me to Amy Casa, which had rooms available. The reviews looked good, so I agreed and confirmed the stay with the owner of Amy Casa over the phone. On check-in day, the owner of Amy Casa took us to a different place, Nanbin Xiuyuan, and told us to pay the remaining balance there. When Nanbin Xiuyuan took the money, they didn't even know how much we still owed. Our room was on its first floor. The facilities were very poor: the AC would stop partway through, the disposable towels didn't absorb water, and a locked cabinet had a notice saying it contained guesthouse amenities and must not be opened. This made us suspect that our booking had been moved to another property without telling us. Amy Casa says Nanbin Xiuyuan is their second property. If Amy Casa operates this way, they should tell guests beforehand that they might stay at a second property and ask whether they're okay with that. Otherwise, guests may be shocked, feel cheated, and have their travel plans ruined. Other consumers should double-check with the guesthouse when booking so they don't make the same mistake we did.
