A reasonable price for a clean, spacious room. The port and subway system are nearby. Highly recommend.

The renovated room had one overwhelming problem: the toilet smelled incredibly bad, like a filthy public restroom. I closed the toilet lid, turned the trash can upside down over the drain, and shut the bathroom door, though it had a gap and didn’t seal fully. The stench still lingered. By morning it was so strong that I was afraid to use the bathroom. When I called, the first explanation was that a typhoon had clogged the sewer line. They offered no compensation for the inconvenience. On my second call, they directly blamed us for having the wrong room key. The pre-check-in notice did say room number 1, and room number 1 was the only key left when we went to pick it up. Unexpected problems can be understood if they’re handled with good communication, but this response was unacceptable. I’m sharing this so others considering a stay can avoid the same problem.

Opening the door really surprised me. I loved the room design, especially the little indoor space that felt like a courtyard. It was really lovely and had a Japanese feel. The decor brought together a bit of a European style and a bit of a Japanese one, but the two styles worked harmoniously instead of feeling strange together. The bathroom and toilet were completely separate, which was great. I’d stay here again next time. The only downside was that I could never get the wifi to connect, haha.

Room 3 had no window, which was the one downside. The rest of the space was roomy and thoughtfully designed, with nice finishes. I especially liked the long table beside the sink for setting out my things, and there was another long table too, clearly I really do like having tables 😂. The shower stayed contained, and the little sofa was comfortable, not too soft or firm. There was enough room to exercise or just sit quietly and meditate. The rooms were so well soundproofed that I didn't hear the others on the same floor, even though there are only three rooms. A lovely stay, thank you!
