The owner’s an audiophile and is happy to chat about audio systems. The lobby couch is incredibly comfortable, and I wish the turntable worked because I’d have loved to sit there listening to music. The rooms are small, but fine for sleeping overnight. One thing I’d change is the shower placement right by the door. It’d make more sense on the opposite wall. The place is right in downtown Hualian, and I’d highly recommend it.

I thought the room size was just right. The bathroom was roomy, the water pressure was good, and the clean bed was comfortable, though for two people I’d rather have a queen. Some people say the rooms are small, but you’re not there to party. It was a simple, easy, quick stay, and I’ll know to come back next time I’m in town.

I came to Hualien for hikes and ended up staying longer for Boy. It has the feel of a boutique hotel mixed with a luxurious Airbnb, with everything you’d want in a designer home. The owner was really kind and took us out for dinner and drinks, so ask him for recommendations. I’ll miss this place. It might be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The host was lovely and fixed the shower leak quickly after we mentioned it. The room itself is simple, but very clean and has everything you need. The bed was really comfortable, and there was plenty of light. It’s well located, nicely decorated, and great value. Highly recommend.

The room is spacious, with a Dyson fan as well as the AC. Can you imagine, a Dyson fan? 🙌 The place is stylish, about five minutes from the beach and right beside the night market. Really nice!
