The room was roomy for the price, and the location worked really well since we had to get to the train station several times during our few days in Hualian. We were cycling around Taiwan, and the owner was excited to meet fellow cyclists. She and her husband ride too. She was welcoming and helpful even though we didn't speak Chinese, let us keep our bikes in the lobby, and secured them each night. She also asked us what might help bring more cyclists to stay.

The train and bus stations are only a couple of minutes away, with a few convenience stores nearby for a quick bite. The neighborhood itself is quiet and peaceful. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the host was warm and quick to answer our questions about the area. She also offers free bicycle rides.

The owner was friendly, pointed us toward some good local food, and even kept our belongings after we'd checked out. The room was clean and very spacious, with a bathtub, and the price felt reasonable. It's also a handy spot, about a five-minute walk from the train station and 7-Eleven.

East of love made my time in Hualien a nice experience. The room was quiet, clean, and spacious, and the location made getting around downtown convenient. The owner was friendly too.

The owners were lovely and happy to help or share things about Taiwan. It's a simple, clean guest house right beside the train station, with plenty of scooter rental places nearby.
