HSUEH Inn

I’m canceling my reservations. The customer service isn’t merely poor, it’s dreadful.

The first floor at HSUEH Inn is set up for everyone to hang out together, with a big kitchen island, plenty of dishes and cutlery, and even a dishwasher. The adjoining dining room has a huge table the owner bought in the US, plus a wine cooler stocked with red and white wine and a large Marshall sound system. We cooked and chatted there, then grilled outside on both days and ate together around the island. There’s lots to do indoors too: karaoke, an electric mahjong table, and a Switch kept us busy. The outdoor wading pool has lights for a poolside-bar feel at night, along with flamingo rings and water guns. The third floor has a washer and dryer, handy after swimming. The whole villa feels like a big American-style beach house. It has four bright, color-themed rooms for up to 14 people, and each one has a bathtub. The imported furniture and mattresses were very comfortable, as my travel companion agreed. The living room and kitchen look almost like a show home, and the owner’s eye for design is all over the place. Stepping inside made me feel like I’d walked into an American TV show, or somehow become the owner of a mansion! 😆 We spent three happy, laid-back days at Xueyu, running around the house and enjoying ourselves. Since I posted about it, people keep asking how beautiful it is, so I wanted to share the details. I’d recommend booking the whole villa in Penghu because I thought it was truly amazing. On my second stay at Xueyu B&B, I found it even better equipped after the renovation. The shared spaces are roomy, everything looked clean and bright, and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. The balcony has a lovely sea view, and the courtyard is beautiful. The kids had a great time playing in the water. The mattresses and amenities were comfortable, and all the rooms have bathtubs. I’d seen comments about insects, but it didn’t bother me. That seems normal in Penghu’s rural areas, and we saw more at another B&B the day before. If there’s an issue, you can ask housekeeping to clean it up. There are high-end amenities for a good price. We’ll be back next summer ❤️

We rented the whole place with friends. The building was fairly clean and the air conditioning worked really well throughout. The third floor has a water dispenser, and the kitchen provides RO water and cooking utensils. There’s also a washing machine and dryer, plus karaoke equipment. It can use the mainland system, though it isn’t very good. The location is remote and there were lots of mosquitoes and insects at night. The shower pressure on the third floor was weak, which got more frustrating the longer I showered. The toilet seats throughout the building were loose. The dining room is large but the living room is small, so there wasn’t enough seating for everyone to sing and eat together.
