“STAFF WITH BAD ATTITUDE” My friends and I picked this hostel because of its high rating and the surprisingly low price for a room for six. I booked through agoda, and the reservation was for a Bed in 6-Bed Female Dormitory Room, 1room for 2 nights and 6 adults, with a total price of TWD 1,000. After I made the booking, a staff member from Chalucet Castle Hostel called to ask how many people would be staying and why the total was TWD 1,000. His tone was unfriendly. He said TWD 1,000 must be the price for ONE person, questioned how a room could cost only TWD 1,000, and suggested I might be able to find one for RMB 1,000. I cancelled the booking right away. It was ridiculous. The staff member was unpleasant and unfriendly, and that was my first impression of the hostel. I would never visit.

The signs were clear and simple, so it was easy to find what I needed. The room was very clean, and the butler seemed to take real care of the property. They also sent basic instructions before I arrived and were very attentive.

The four rooms the owner arranged for our group of 40 were all great, and we had a very comfortable two days. Downstairs, the living room has a high-end sound system and a projector screen, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms were large and clean, with body wash and shampoo provided. The hot water and water pressure were both strong.
