5963 Turn Right B&B

The place was so cozy, with a well-equipped kitchen, a spacious dorm, and comfortable beds. It was cleaner than anywhere else I’ve stayed, and they offer free bicycles. They even dropped me where I needed to go next. It wasn’t especially social, though I was almost there by myself. What really warmed my heart was the owners, especially the landlady. She speaks great English and treated me like her daughter, making sure I was fed, looked after, and got the most out of my time there. She gave me food and rain protection, spent a lot of time offering personal recommendations, and shared kind words and much more. Those moments mean a lot when you’ve been traveling solo for a long time. 10/10!

The owners are the real highlight. They’re very helpful and go out of their way to assist. The hostel is tucked among fields away from the busy centres of Yilan and Jiaoxi, and nights are quiet. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Just note that payment is by cash, and breakfast isn’t served at the B&B itself. You get vouchers to choose from two breakfast restaurants in Jiaoxi.

I already left feedback on bookings, but wanted to give this place another five stars here. The hostel was sparkling clean, the owner was helpful, and guests can borrow bikes for free to explore town.

I’ve stayed twice, and both visits were spotlessly clean. The owners were welcoming and very helpful, and the beds are big and comfortable. Rooms feel airy, light, and cool. It’s a fair way from the centre of jiaoxi, but that also makes the atmosphere much quieter and calmer. Lovely place to stay.
