The B&B is a lovely, beautifully decorated vintage house that's 130 years old. I loved the place, and the shower was great after a day out. Having a washing machine, coffee machine, and fridge was really convenient too. Mr Hung was sincere and helpful throughout our stay, giving us the information we needed and trying to sort out any problems. He even surprised us with some delicious dessert to take home.

We were lucky to get moved to a gorgeous loft room. It was spacious and brought traditional and modern styles together, with a classic feel and modern conveniences. My husband, mother, grandmother, and I were all very happy there and would stay again on our next visit to Kinmen. The staff shared the guesthouse's history, which I found fascinating. The breakfast was excellent, and my grandmother especially liked the peanut candy among the welcome treats. Sorghum liquor, coffee, and other thoughtful items were convenient to have. We paid a bit more than we'd hoped, but it was worth it for a room that was absolutely perfect.
The owner was welcoming and patiently answered our questions, while also sharing tips on Kinmen's hidden spots and local food. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and coffee, desserts, and tea were easy to enjoy during our stay. Xinshuidiaogetou B&B has the old-fashioned charm of traditional Fujian architecture. Walking inside felt like going back in time, and every corner had its own character. I'd gladly return and wholeheartedly recommend it.
In the evening, we enjoyed the idea of wandering through the nearby group of old houses. The owner was welcoming and gave us a knowledgeable introduction to Kinmen's culture and history, taking time to answer our questions and share more. The old-house atmosphere was what I loved most. It smelled of wood and flowers when I walked in, and felt clean, comfortable, and homey. I'll stay at Shuitiao again on my next trip to Kinmen.
The landlady was chatty and gave us excellent service. Although our room was small, it was clean, and the whole building had traditional Minnan-style decor. Breakfast came with Kinmen favorites like porridge and fried dough sticks, plus xiaolongbao from a famous restaurant known for long queues. There was fruit for dessert and snacks available anytime. Definitely worth spending a night here.
