Alexander Motel

Nice.

The room gave me plenty of space to work and unwind, and the air conditioning and TV both worked well. Free Wi-Fi, a gym, and self-service laundry were handy too. The Alexandria Boutique Business Motel is somewhat old, and some facilities feel dated, but that didn't get in the way of a comfortable stay. The rates seemed fair compared with similar business motels, and I felt I got good value within my budget. I had a pleasant visit for my business trip, and it would be an appealing option for either work or leisure. Updating a few facilities could make a future stay even better. I'd be glad to return.

The staff were really friendly, which I appreciated. The room itself had a strange look, with old, dirty-looking walls, and I spotted a cockroach when I woke up. The booking page said breakfast was included and could also be added on, but at check-in I was told it wasn't. The shower pressure was so strong it hurt when I rinsed off. I couldn't use it normally and had to take off the showerhead, so the shower was pretty unusable.

After our two-hour rest period had passed without a phone call, someone came straight in through the balcony door and said they were calling us. That felt really inappropriate. What if we hadn't been dressed? They could have seen us naked.
