Grand Banyan Hotel

The in-room Nespresso machine came with nice snacks, coffee, and tea, and breakfast was fantastic. You do need a phone to scan a QR code to order eggs. The rooms looked good and felt spacious, though the attractions aren’t walkable and take a short cab ride. I was surprised there was no hand lotion or things like cotton buds, which can be useful on business trips and aren’t always something you bring along.

The morning buffet was delicious, with both Eastern and Western choices, from congee and assorted sides to omelettes and eggs Benedict, plus plenty of vegetarian options. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. There’s a lovely rooftop with a pool, a small wading pool for children, and a gym. It’s also close to Tainan main train station. I love this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast is top quality, with lots of tasty international choices, and the pricing is good for what you get. This is a lovely grand hotel in a central area, with restaurants nearby and the train station close by. The reception team and staff in other areas were all helpful and friendly. Rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I especially liked the separate bathtub and shower room. There are beautiful rooftop pools and guest self-service laundry. Good four-star quality for a good price, you can’t go wrong.

Breakfast came with our package and was very well done, beyond what we expected. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and extremely clean, and my wife had no complaints, which says a lot. The hotel was spotless, bright, and nicely lit throughout. We stayed between Christmas and New Year’s, and the decorations were a lovely surprise. Coming from the U.S., we hadn’t seen much Christmas decor around Taiwan, so it felt special. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful: they kept our bags after we showed our reservation, so we could explore Tainan before check-in without carrying them around. We’d absolutely stay here next time and highly recommend it.
