It was pretty decent~

The front desk isn't open very early or late, so flight arrival and departure times can make things awkward. I also found the plumbing a little dated, though it was fine if you don't mind that. The price and location are great. I'd stayed before in a different room type. This one had a washing machine on the balcony and a microwave for heating food brought in from outside. There weren't any plates, utensils, or knives, so bringing those from Japan would be smart. I needed a knife for fruit.

The price felt like good value, especially since I had the whole house to myself. I was able to check in without trouble even though a scheduling issue meant I booked at the last minute on the same day and arrived two hours later than planned. There was a TV, two bottles of water, and a toothbrush and toothpaste. A public bike stop, like Ttareungi or Taipei T-Bike, right outside was handy. I went looking for the check-in desk after getting a bit lost. Google Maps didn't show a hotel name on the building, but if you walk past the Family Mart on the corner and turn left, there's an MB Hotel sign on the first floor. That's where I checked in. I was on the 28th floor and had hoped for a view, but the building across the way was being built. The night view off to the side was still quite nice. The water took a little while to heat up, but the pressure and drainage were good. There was a washing machine and microwave, though no detergent. In the morning, I felt like something had bitten me, so I sprayed the provided mosquito repellent and went to sleep. When I got up, there was a dead cockroach, a little smaller than two knuckles of my index finger.

Service was okay, but this was clearly a regular rental suite being sold as a guesthouse!!! The four-person room was supposed to be 16 pings (approximately 3.3 square meters), yet it was under 10 pings (approximately 3.3 square meters). Having to go separately between reception, the accommodation, and the parking was exhausting.
