The first floor shared restroom smelled awful and was dirty and poorly looked after. For a place claiming a 3-star standard, that was unacceptable. I paid expecting a clean, professional hotel and decent service, but this was the worst service I experienced during my time in Taiwan. I paid for one night but could stay for less than 18 hours, with check-in fixed at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. As an international traveler arriving earlier, I found that unreasonable. I was exhausted and asked to check in a little early for health reasons, but they refused, even though the lobby was empty and my room was probably ready. I told them I was recovering from thyroid cancer and dealing with fatigue and hormonal imbalance. I had arrived early because I needed to leave student housing and had nowhere else to go. They showed no empathy or flexibility, and only let me sit in the lobby for hours without offering help. Never again. I would not recommend this place, especially to international travelers, solo female travelers, or people with health issues. I believe there are kinder, more professional hotels for less money.

The room was on the small side, but it was clean and had everything we needed. Waking up to the river view was lovely. We could easily walk to cafes, restaurants, and the bus stop. A satisfying stay.

The AC uses a central system for the whole building, and it never got cold enough. The room also wasn't very clean, with a stain on the wall and lots of mosquitoes. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the LRT, which feels far when you're carrying a big suitcase.
