If you’re looking for a more authentic local sort of stay near the MRT and malls, this could be a decent option. To me, it felt a lot like staying at a relative’s house in Taiwan, and honestly I wouldn’t really recommend it to Westerners. There were baby cockroaches, the towels were very thin, the bathrooms felt dated, and you use a physical key to enter. You have to scan at the elevator to go both up and down, which seems hazardous to me. Check-in took a long time, the phones in the room didn’t work, and payment in person was cash only if you hadn’t paid online.

The room was spacious, the location was good, and I was happy with the stay. This is a pet-friendly place, and I’d like to come back. One thing to know is that check-in isn’t in the building where you stay. Exit the building, turn left, then left again to find the check-in place. If you speak Chinese, the building security can direct you, so it should be easy to find.

The room was decent for the student-friendly price, and the location was great. The receptionist was really nice. Soundproofing could be better: a neighbour slamming their door too hard could make you jump. I’d suggest adding another pack of shower gel, since one wasn’t enough.

They describe the hotel as pet-friendly, but my experience didn’t match that. The pet policy wasn’t clearly explained in advance, and pets had to stay confined to the room. If a pet barked while left there, the owner was told to come back immediately and remove it because it was disturbing other guests. They charge for the room, but don’t seem able to let pets stay there in peace. The room also wasn’t as clean as they claimed: the floor was dusty when I arrived, and the air conditioner blew dust out. The tap water was black, and its temperature kept changing. It was awful, and I’m leaving a bad review.

The room was about average, and the place feels more like a weekly apartment than a hotel. It was hard to find, and if you send luggage there, there’s a good chance it won’t arrive because the name isn’t on it. On the plus side, it’s close to the department store and station, with a convenience store right downstairs.
