CU Hotel Kaohsiung

The staff were very kind. People in the room across from us were partying and smoking at night, so we called reception. The receptionist immediately offered us two upgraded suites so we could sleep through the night. Really recommendable, and thanks to the employee who helped us that night, July 25-26, 2025.

Several bus routes pass right by, and the light rail stop is across the street, in front of the municipal hospital. For $1,222 plus $117 for the breakfast buffet, I thought it was excellent value. The spacious room had what I needed, including one task chair and two lounge chairs. There are also washers and dryers on the 9th and 11th floors, with an ice machine in the laundry room. That's common in the US but unusual in Taiwan.

The meals were the one part we weren’t happy with. During our first four days, four lunch or dinner boxes included chicken leg or drumstick, even though they came from different restaurants. We suggested more variety to the housekeeper, who said the feedback would be passed along, and I appreciated the response. We stayed in a spacious room with a separate bedroom and living room for seven days of quarantine. The service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, and the room had almost everything we needed. The housekeeper always replied promptly. Keep up the good work, your effort is appreciated.

The air conditioning was pretty loud, and the room looked less nice in person than the photos had led us to expect. Still, we had a pleasant three-day quarantine stay: the room was clean and spacious, and the service was excellent. Uber Eats deliveries are possible, and staff bring them up to your room.
