The hotel is modern, and the rooms feel new. Air conditioning is strong and individually controlled, and hot water comes through almost right away. The underground parking is free for guests, with a spacious driveway and large parking spaces compared with some older hotels in Taiwan. There are also in-house movies to watch. It’s well located near Liuhe Night Market and the Dome of Light. Just keep in mind checkout is strictly at 11 a.m., with a NT500 charge for every hour after that. Highly recommended, I’ll come back next time I’m in Kaosiung.

This has been the best of the four hotels I’ve stayed at so far during my 18 nights in Taiwan. I was surprised by how large the room was. It’s modern, comfortable, and very clean, with a great shower, strong water pressure, and plenty of hot water. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast seemed a little expensive for what you get, in my opinion, so I didn’t include it in my booking, though I did try it once during my three days here. The hotel is less than a block from the subway station, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The room layout and facilities were good, and the location near the MRT is excellent. The staff were helpful and worked hard. I could even live with the rather odd croissant options at breakfast, though I’d rather see the money put toward a good buffet for guests. The problem was the awful soundproofing between rooms. It felt like the other guests were right there with me, gaming or doing whatever else they were doing. When I eventually called the front desk, they did their best to sort it out, though it took two tries. I feel a bit sad about the hotel because it could be amazing, but the noise issue is a real deal breaker for me.

The hotel made check-in easy even though we arrived around 9 p.m., and they had a thoughtful birthday gift ready for us. We stayed four nights in Kaohsiung and had a great experience. The room was spacious, and the air conditioner kept things delightfully cold for sleeping. There’s a car park connected in the same building, plus a water dispenser on every floor with cold, room-temperature, and hot options. The gym is on the same floor as the breakfast restaurant. The location is especially convenient: many of the restaurants on our list were within a ten-minute walk, and the subway station was only about three minutes away. Checkout is firmly at 11 a.m. We asked to stay until noon to better match our flight, but they politely declined unless we paid an extra 500 TWD. It would have been nice, but I understand it’s their policy. We’d happily return.
