The receptionists were very helpful with English, and all the staff were kind and patient during our stay. We also rented a WiFi dongle/phone, which came in handy. The location is convenient, and for the price this was a reasonable stay. The building is older, and in Kaohsiung’s warm weather you may run into insects. We found a small cockroach in our room; reception handled it professionally and offered to have the room treated during servicing. If you see one, let reception know and ask them to spray during the next service, as they respond promptly. It’s also a good idea to keep food and drinks sealed and put away overnight. Mosquitoes are common in warm weather, so bring or buy an electric mosquito swatter if you’ll open the windows or use the rooftop washing area.

The customer service was great, and there are common dispensers for hot and room-temperature water in the corridor. My room was very dark, but the air conditioner and everything else worked. I did find small dead cockroaches in the room now and then. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, since they aren’t provided.

It’s only a few steps from 7-11 and other places to eat, and ordering through Food Panda or Uber was easy because the location pinned clearly. We were out all day and mainly came back to shower and sleep, which worked out. The room itself was a bit dirty, with dust visible on the moldings. The bathroom floor was a raised plastic surface rather than tile and felt shaky. The tub was broken, though you could still shower in it, and the toilet clogged easily when using it for a number two. The location was okay, but cleanliness wasn’t.

The room was comfortable, and the location was nice. The free coffee was just too weak and tasted pretty bad.

I stayed for two months and had a great time here. I felt safe, and the room was comfortable. Staff would clean the bedding when I gave them my key, and there are seats in the lobby, which was convenient. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the MRT, night market, and shopping, with plenty of breakfast spots and drink shops nearby. There are parks close by too, where you can work out. I love this place!
