My friend waited over an hour just to check in, and the process felt far too long. The room manager and reception also communicated poorly. They didn't explain things clearly or guide customers through using the room. I found the service and attitude unprofessional, so for service I'd give it one star.

The beds have curtains, which give each person a bit of privacy, and the hostel was fairly clean with friendly staff. It's under a 10-minute walk from Houyi mrt station. A good budget option if you're traveling to Kaohsiung.

I stayed with friends in October, when it was 32 degrees outside, and the broken air conditioner meant I couldn't sleep at all. They offered a little compensation, but not much. The owner didn't respond, and I wound up sleeping on a chair in the lobby. Don't stay here.

There are too many instructions, and paying is neither convenient nor simple. I wouldn't recommend this place to foreigners.

The owner was really friendly and spoke English very well. The hostel is easy to find, about a 10-minute walk along one street from the train station. I slept well: the bed and pillow were comfortable, and the bunk beds feel like little caves with lots of privacy. There's a kitchen and lounge, breakfast with bread and spreads, and fast Wi-Fi. I'd definitely recommend it.
