The room felt creepy and uncomfortable, and was nothing like the online photos. The curtains were worn and old, and paint was peeling off the shabby walls. On top of that, both the bathroom and room were very dirty when we arrived, as if nobody had cleaned them. It was a disturbing stay and a complete waste of money. Don't trust the pictures. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

This place was dirty and cramped, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. The host was so stingy about bottled water that they wanted to charge $15 for each bottle. Kaohsiung is hot, so water should be a basic necessity. Restricting it shows no respect for guests. The whole place was disgusting.

The helpful concierge gave me clear directions to nearby places to eat and attractions, and kept my luggage before check-in so I could explore right away. It was easy to find cheap, tasty meals near the busy street market, and the hotel sits on the 26 bus line, which made seeing the city simple. The air conditioning and elevator also made the stay comfortable in the warm weather. For a budget hotel, I thought it offered excellent value and a convenient, comfortable base.

A simple, easy stay, and the staff were friendly. The room was a little small, but had what I needed. The one thing I'd improve is the AC cleaning, since you can see dirt in it. Unfortunately, that seems pretty common.
