They let me check in early, which was a big help after travelling. Pathway Hostel is well located for exploring Kaohsiung and getting to public transport. It was clean and well maintained, and the staff were polite, friendly, and ready to answer questions or offer suggestions. The dorm beds could use curtains, since there isn’t much privacy when you’re sleeping. Aside from that, I had a comfortable stay. Clean, convenient, and a solid choice for travellers.

So clean and cozy, and the staff are the kindest people ever. Wonderful place, and a big recommendation if you want to stay at the best hostel in Kaohsiung 🥰😍

It’s very cheap, so don’t expect anything fancy. The hostel is quite old, but clearly well maintained, and the room and bed linen were clean. There was hot water in the shower, and the staff were nice and helpful. One woman at reception was especially lovely: I’d only passed her for a few seconds when she noticed I was cold and offered to turn down the air conditioning. So sweet.

I’d really like to come back and stay here for a while. The hostel is close to the MRT, so it’s easy to reach the places you want to visit, and the price is fair compared with other hostels. The staff make an effort to welcome people with a smile, and reception can give you useful information if you stop by. The host really cares about cleanliness and making guests feel comfortable. They’re always trying their best. I strongly recommend spending a few nights here. Good luck!
