The rooms felt dingy and mediocre, and the hotel seems like it could use a refresh or new management. The toilet kept running unless you jiggled the handle just right, and the jacuzzi/bath looked as though it hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. I was also surprised by how rudely and impatiently both receptionists treated us. We came early to drop off luggage, and check-in made us feel like we were imposing. Seeing my mother treated so disrespectfully upset me, especially given Taiwanese hospitality and the respect for elders in Taiwanese culture. Maybe they were having a stressful week, but that doesn't excuse it. I'm changing my rating to three stars because the manager tracked down my mom and apologized profusely. There's clearly room to improve, but I appreciate that the manager tried to make amends.

A medium-sized hotel suited to business travelers and tourists. The interior looks fairly modern and well maintained. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the nearest metro stations, though driving is easy since there's a parking lot. Breakfast has a small mix of continental and Chinese dishes, but it can be surprisingly filling. Service was friendly and attentive, and I think the staff's English is okay.

The room was huge, and the MRT station is within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The management has an old-school approach: you have to leave your room key at reception whenever you go out. No sneaking off, they'll catch you and ask for it before you leave, LOL. Even though the room was marked non-smoking, I could still smell lingering tobacco, which wasn't pleasant.

The staff were nice and friendly, but I probably wouldn't return. The last-minute price was okay, though the room smelled a little, and the decor and worn furniture were badly outdated. Opening the door let mosquitoes in, and the bathtub looked like it had last been cleaned a week or so ago.
