Pon Pon Woo

I stayed last night and found the tent cozy and clean. The whole building has a lovely feel, and the price is super affordable. The receptionist was nice, and the woman speaks English, so no need to worry 😊

I booked one of ponponwoo's few double rooms in 85 Tower, not one of the tents or lodges. The location is great, and the private room is big and quiet, with lots of room to spread out. It even had a living room and at least two large desks that weren't shown in the listing photos. Cleanliness left me uneasy. There was a strong smell as soon as I entered, possibly from perfumed potpourri in the bathroom, and it was overwhelming. I couldn't tell whether the sheets had been cleaned. The duvet didn't seem to have a cover, so I wondered how it could be washed. The shower was a smaller concern, but still stressful: a sign says hot water shuts off if you shower for more than 10 minutes.

A really good place to stay, with cozy rooms and very clean facilities. The washing machine is a nice extra, and they leave snacks and ramen noodles out for people up late. :(

The staff were friendly, and the place felt surprisingly cozy for a two-star hostel, almost more like three stars. It’s right in the city center, with tourist sights, department stores, and local night markets all around. My one-person room was a tent with air conditioning, a fan, and a reading light, which made it comfortable for a backpacker.
