Seasons Boutique Motel

The room was pretty nice, and everything else was good. But the price felt a bit high for just 3 hours. We couldn't figure out how to turn off the air conditioner, and it was freezing. We switched off the one in the room, but it still felt very cold.

It's worth knowing this is really a motel in the Western sense, not a hotel. The room has a small extra space with colored LED lights and what looks like a torture chair(?), plus a complimentary packet of condoms. The room and bathroom are extremely spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The decor looks luxurious but is worn and banged up. Unfortunately, the room smelled like old cigarettes, which was pretty gross.

The place is nicely decorated, and having a private pool and karaoke room sounds great. The employees were friendly, and there’s a 7-Eleven right across the street. But for what I paid, it didn’t feel like a four-star stay. I found hair in the shower, dirty mirrors, and sticky drawers. I booked specifically for the pool, only to find it unheated and freezing. Adding hot water took all day and didn’t last, since there was no continuous heating. Nobody showed me how to work the lights, Wi-Fi, or other room features, and breakfast was about what you’d expect from a 7-Eleven.

Ruifeng Night Market is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk away, and there are some pretty decent restaurants nearby. The motel is close to Aozidi Park, with a 7-Eleven across the street. My room was clean, and breakfast and Wi-Fi were included.
