Yanmin Hot Spring Resort

Getting there took some time. From Taipei Main Station, public transport is a bit of a trek, though buses run from either Jiantan or Shilin stations. I liked the hot spring room. It was much better and cleaner than the one I had in Wulai, and worth the price. The quiet setting also made it easy to relax.

A lovely resort for families and people who care about the environment, with lots of nature activities for kids to explore. Our room's private hotspring pool was the biggest win, along with a small private balcony. We arrived late and lost, but the staff were friendly and helpful, as Taiwanese people tend to be 👍. A real gem for hot springs near the Taipei city metro area.

The spa was the highlight for me. The water comes out quickly, and the tub is big enough for a family of four. I stayed two nights, one in the old house and one in the new building. I’d pick the newer one, since its facilities feel more up to date. The balcony view at night there was simply amazing.

After a long hike, relaxing in the hot spring tub on the open balcony, looking toward the mountains, was lovely. It’s a quiet, chill area. I stayed here because it’s within Yangmingshan National Park, though it’s still farther down and a long way from Leishukeng Visitors Centre.
