Hotel Metropolitan Premier Taipei

Our room on the 7/F looked out through wide, floor-length windows at a pleasant neighborhood park behind the hotel. It was spacious, clean, and furnished with everything I’d expect from a 5-star property. The Wi-Fi was fast, and housekeeping kept the room in excellent shape. Staff throughout were polite, professional, and helpful. The hotel is near metro stations, the Taipei Municipal Stadium, and lots of places to eat. Breakfast is served buffet style at B1, with plenty of tasty choices. Special thanks to the egg station chefs for accommodating my needs. We’d happily recommend staying here.

The breakfast had a huge range of options, and the rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. I also appreciated the firm mattress, strong shower pressure, and toilet bidet with a heated seat. The hotel is centrally placed near the metro. I’d stay again without hesitation and recommend it.

I’d asked in advance about early check-in because our flight landed at 6am and we were in town for my wife’s birthday. They said it depended on availability, but promised to do their best and call when a room was ready. When we arrived, several guests were checking out, but we were still told to wait while housekeeping expedited things. Staff took my mobile number twice and said they’d call, yet we heard nothing. By 3pm, the official check-in time, we’d spent nearly seven hours waiting on her birthday with no update. I understand a room might not be available, but the poor communication and lack of follow-through were really disappointing. I expected better coordination and care from a hotel calling itself “Premier.”

We were very happy with our 10-night stay, from 27 Jan 2026 until 6 Feb. The cleanliness felt up to a rigorous Japanese standard, and problems were handled promptly. One evening my shower door wouldn’t close all the way. A technician fixed it quickly, then housekeeping cleaned up right after. The location is convenient for Fuxing mrt station, markets, and eateries, including a cafe that opens daily at 7.30am. The concierge team was great. Ms Ava helped me find my Da Lan Zhu calligraphy brush, called Lin Zhen Cake Shop to remind them when I’d collect it, and checked that cooler bags were available. My only small disappointment was not being able to walk into the coffee house-lounge or chinese restaurant without a reservation because they were full. I was told staff shortages mean they can’t offer every table if they’re to maintain service levels. About another reviewer’s comment on the empty fridge and no coffee machine, they do provide drip coffee packets and bottled water. A card says mini bar items can be ordered.
