The rooms are very quiet, even facing the street, and the soft linen and plush bedding made for a good night’s rest. There aren’t many rooms per floor from the second floor up, which gives the hotel an exclusive, boutique feel. They fit in a lot of extras: wine from 5 onwards, snacks on each floor, art and a gallery, and a two star Michelin restaurant. The staff were super nice and the location is convenient. The washlet toilet also has an automatic flush that can be quite loud. Even so, I’d stay again.

The wine hour was just right, and they also had free snacks. The rooms were really nice. It’s easy to get around from here, with the MTR station close by and good cafes and food within walking distance. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed here three times now, and I’d recommend this boutique hotel to anyone. Be sure to try the signature breakfast, which is served a la carte.

Our room faced the back of the building and was extremely quiet. We didn’t hear neighbors, though I can’t say whether it’s the same in rooms facing the main road. The rooms are small, but the mattress and pillows suited me well, and the high-tech toilet seat was great. There’s no gym or swimming pool, and we didn’t try the famous restaurant this time. The best part was wine hour from 5 to 6pm. Bottles are left on the floor for free-flow pours, and you can call reception if you need a refill. Both nights we stayed, they put sake on our floor. The hotel is fairly central, though it’s a 10-15 minute walk to an MRT station. It was a great stay and I’d definitely come back. Book ahead for better prices.
