Spring Art Hotel

Breakfast was one of the nicest surprises. The spread was simple, but it filled me up more than breakfasts at many five-star hotels I've stayed in. I even went live on Facebook to show how much I enjoyed the place and the meal. The warm soya milk was especially good. It made me so happy to have that taste of my Chinese side, and for what I paid, this was one of the best deals I got in 2018. Booking early worked out well. The room was small and compact, but there was enough space for me and my lanky ten-year-old daughter. I'm tall for an Asian and have Pan-Asian mixed heritage. The room was decent, too. The notice said there were no windows, and I found it pretty tongue-in-cheek that they put up a cute picture of one looking out over a field. We had clean, comfortable beds, with pillows soft enough to sink into but supportive enough that I didn't wake with a sore neck. They helped ease the aches after three flights in 23 hours. There was a water dispenser for hot and cold drinking water, so we didn't need to deal with a kettle. The shower had such strong pressure and heated up so quickly that I wanted to ask how they did it at home. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. I spoke Mandarin with them, so I can't say how well they would manage in English.

For the price, the facilities were very good, and the buffet breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly, too. From what I found in my search, it was one of the cheapest hotels in Kaohsiung.

A little dated, but the staff were lovely and caring.
